About Me

Hi! My name is Daniel and I am a Portuguese OCR and Trail athlete.

My passion for sports started from a very young age. Like most Portuguese kids, my first sport was football which I played until I was 26 at an amateur level. Bicycles were also a great passion in my youth. My favorite teenage afternoon plan was to go to a motocross track or the mountains with my bike, and when the fatigue started to appear, ride back to the closest river for a refreshing swim.

I first learned about OCR from local events that glued together trails, mud, and funny obstacles, which created much curiosity. After the first race, I was already in love with the sport and the sense of accomplishment it brings, so in 2023 I decided to join the Portuguese OCR championship.

The goal is to be the best OCR athlete possible, and in this blog, I will give you some hints about my training, general athletic concepts to help you reach your best form, and my mistakes and victories throughout this journey.

So tag along, let’s fuel our adventures!
